It was a lovely warm day when we held our seventh Inter-Club Competition: Top Rope, Lead, Speed and Boulder at CityROCK Indoor Climbing Gym in Paarden Eiland. The competition opened with 62 climbers from WCC clubs: Grippers, Top Out Climbing Club, Rock Fit, High Adventure, Hiker’s Paradise, Gravity One, Red Point and SACS Climbing Club.
There was a lot of excitement amongst the competitors and after a thorough technical meeting and briefing by Geoff Meyer, Jury President and Chief Scorer, the competition started.
The Top Rope, Lead and Speed events were held in the morning, with the bouldering event held after lunch in the afternoon. The day finished off with some ad hoc events including the Monkey Bars and Dyno Challenges.
